지난 1년이상 미국에서 판매하면서 느꼈던 것들에 대해 알려주는 글이지요.

On another topic, I have been observing a key retail sales issue that is often overlooked with regard to the WristAssit:

대한 것을 관찰해 오고 있었습니다.



We have excellent sales results from TV ads. yet at times not the same order rate from some of our retailers. I believe this is the reason:

우리는 텔레비젼광고를 통해 대단한 판매결과를 이루었다. 하지만 우리의 몇몇 소매업자들로부터는 아직 같은

주문량(티브이 광고과 비교해서) 를 받지 못했다.



· On TV we explain with video that keeping the wrist laid back and stable while accelerating the tennis racquet up and through the impact zone is the key to accuracy and playing confidence.

텔레비젼 광고에서는 임팩트 존과 테니스 라켓을 세우는 것을 빠르게할 때 손목이 뒤로 젖혀지고 안정적이게 도와주는 것이 자신감과 정확성의 중요요소임을 말하고 있다.

· We know that when a player slaps at the ball creating wrist movement right at impact that changes the racquet face angle and the tennis ball gets "sprayed" around the court.

우리는 플레이어들이 임팩트 시 손목의 적절한 움직임을 통해 코트전체로 볼을 보낼 수 있고 라켓의 각

을 변화시켜 타구를 하는 것으로 알고 있다.



· KEY - The viewers on TV see the moving wrist, determine they have this problem and get the WristAssist to overcome their swing flaw - in other words they get it.

키포인트 - 손목의 움직임을 볼 수 있는 텔레비젼의 시청자들은 자신들이 가지고 있는 문제에 대해 이해를

하고 자신들의 스윙결점을 극복하기 위해 리스트 어시스트 구입을 결정한다. 다른 말로는 그들이 문제에

대해 자신의 문제를 이해했다는 것이다.



However, in retail situations, most customers do not come to the tennis shop and ask for help keeping their wrist stable and firm while hitting their forehand or backhand. Nor does the tennis shop sales person (unless they have had years of tennis teaching or coaching experience) probe the player by asking if their strokes are clean, accurate and penetrating. The conversation normally centers around getting a lighter frame, or using a hybrid string combination etc. The point is the customer normally never describes a moving wrist problem with symptoms of “spraying the ball” nor is there a firm, stable wrist solution like the WristAssist presented by the salesman.



하지만 소매업자들의 현실을 보면, 대부분 고객들은 테니스샵에 오지않으며 그들이 포,백핸드를 칠 때

자신들의 손목의 안정과 고정 향상에 도움을 청한다. (판매하는 사람들이 테니스 레슨경력이 없다면)

테니스 샵 판매직원들은 고객의 스트로크 향상에 대한 고객들의 질문에 답을 할 수가 없다. 일반적인

대화는 단순히 가벼운 프레임 라켓 구입을 권하거나, 또는 하이브리트 스트링 조합과 같은 기타 등등의

뿐이다. 핵심은, 리스트어시스트를 판매하는 직원이 있음에도 불구하고 고객들은 볼이 제대로 가지 않는 현상 뿐만 아니라 고정,안정이 되지 않는 손목 문제 해결에 대해 접근할 수 없다는 것이다.



SOLUTION: 해결책



· I really believe if we can get tennis shop folks to “probe” their customers about how best to improve their tennis strokes...the answer wouldn't be just getting a lighter frame. As my dad used to tell me, "Son, it isn’t the gun that’s the problem...it’s the gunner.”

나는 만약 테니스샵 직원들이 단순히 가벼운 프레임 라켓을 권유하는 것이 아닌

어떻게 테니스 스트로크 향상시킬 수 있는 것에 대해 그들의 고객들에게 설명할 수 있는 테니스샵

직원들을 있으면 해결이 가능할 것으로 믿는다.



· Mike, you get the idea. We need to evangelize (explain) to the tennis shop sales people the importance of engaging their customer on swing mechanics rather than just selling a lighter frame because the customer asked for it.

우리는 고객의 요청 때문에 단순히 가벼운 프레임 라켓을 파는 것이 아닌 고객의 스윙머캐닉 향상에

중요성을 판매사원들에게 설명해야할 필요가 있다.
