[프랑스오픈] 예선 1회전 승리 후 정현 인터뷰

한국의 정현이 9월 22일 프랑스오픈 예선 1회전  승리 후 현지 현지  인터뷰를 가졌다.

 

정현은 "올해 첫 승이다. 실전 경기를 많이 하지 못해 자신감이 없었는데 승리해서 기쁘다. 부상이 자주 발생해서 부상없이 몸을 잘 관리하고 좀 더 강하게 만들기 위해 노력했다.

 

클레이 코트에 잘 적응해 좋은 성적을 내도록 노력하겠다"고 밝혔다.

I’m happy to make the second round of qualies but more importantly it’s the first win of 2020,” he said with a sigh of relief, having lost in the first round in three Challenger events in the Czech Republic prior to travelling to Paris.

 

“I haven’t played too many matches in the last few weeks," he said. "To be honest I didn’t have any confidence arriving here.”

 

Now it was all about rediscovering the devastating combinations that sent the 24-year-old into the top 20 two years ago.

 

“I’m trying to stay on court with positive vibes only. It’s about getting used to the clay and used to competing again," Chung said.

 

"I’m just trying to keep fighting. I’ve had a lot of injuries the past couple of years, I’m working on my health and body the whole time. I’m giving 100 per cent always.”

 

 예선 1회전 경기에서 약 11개월만에 승리를 거둔 정현은 23일 저녁 2회전 경기를 진행한다.

 

정현의 2회전은  11번 코트 마지막 경기로 배정 되었으며 한국시간으로 23일 저녁 11시에 시작될 예정이다.  

 

정현은 아르헨티나, 208위, 28살인 렌조 올리보(Renzo Olivo)와 대결하며  2017년 호주오픈 1회전에서 3-0(63.63.62)으로 정현이 승리한적이 있다.

 

올리보는 2017년 본인 최고랭킹 73위를 기록했다.
