Question
Several months ago I suffered from tennis elbow. After a few cortisone shots, a slow rehab, plus recently switching to a two- handed backhand, I thought I was on my way to recovery.
This time I aggravated my elbow on a serve. My body was going one way while my arm was going another. How do I insure that my body goes in the same direction as my arm and ball?
Answer:
Keep your head up. Toss forward into the court and a little to your right. If you toss back over your head to the left, you will fall off that way.
And you could put extra stress on your arm hitting a toss over there (where you'd toss it for a heavy kicker or twist).
You want the body to be leaning into the court on a straight line room toes to racquet tip at impact, with your arm at full extension in a comfortable position. So put the toss in a comfortable place.
